Life of Sanctification I

Sanctification is of capital importance for every child of God, yet it is often neglected, misunderstood, or confused with perfection. This course restores this essential truth to its proper place.

Why speak about sanctification?

Sanctification is the unavoidable path of every good relationship with the only true God. It is often neglected for two reasons: we are not conscious of its importance, and we find it difficult to put into practice. Worse, it is regularly distorted, confused with perfection or applied according to human concepts rather than according to Scripture.

This course restores the biblical perspective: the Most High God, seated on His throne, is also the One who, in His mercy, invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).

The God of holiness reveals Himself

A large part of the course follows the revelation of God's holiness in Israel's history, beginning with Moses. When God wanted to mark the difference between His people and the other nations, He manifested Himself as the God of holiness: "Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods?... glorious in holiness" (Exodus 15:11).

You will also discover why the way God manifests Himself to a person reveals the work He wants to accomplish in that person's life and through them.

What you will discover in this course

  • What sanctification is, and what it is not
  • The difference between sanctification and perfectionism
  • Moses' role in introducing the holiness of God among the people
  • How sanctification applies concretely: thoughts, words, conduct
  • The link between holiness and intimacy with God

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." — Hebrews 4:16

The rest of the path

In the second year, Life of Sanctification II deepens the call to separation, the renewal of the mind, and holiness as a way of life: "Be holy, for I am holy."

Who is this course for?

For every Christian who desires an authentic relationship with God and wants to understand holiness as a grace that draws you rather than a rule that crushes. Sanctification concerns every disciple of Jesus, not only those who exercise ministry: "Be holy" is addressed to all the children of God.
