Demonology
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy" (John 10:10). We fight well only against an enemy we know. This course studies the origin and strategies of Satan, and above all the total victory Jesus won over him.
Knowing the enemy without fearing him
Demonology is the study of the origin and activities of Satan and evil spirits. The course traces his history: Lucifer was in heaven (Ezekiel 28:1-19), he was cast out (Revelation 12:1-9), and one third of the angels followed him. Today he rules the system of this world as the "god of this age" (2 Corinthians 4:4), with an organized spiritual hierarchy (Ephesians 6:12).
But the course also demystifies him: demons cannot read your thoughts, they are not omniscient, and their power over the believer is broken.
The seven stages of the enemy's attack
One of the most practical sections of the course describes the typical progression of a spiritual attack: regression, repression, suppression, depression, oppression, obsession, and finally possession. Recognizing these stages allows the process to be stopped early, both for yourself and in ministry to others.
Jesus conquered Satan
The center of gravity of the course is not the enemy, but victory: Jesus disarmed principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15) and gave us total authority over Satan and all evil spirits (Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17).
What you will discover in this course
- The origin of Satan and his demons according to Scripture
- What demons can and cannot do
- The seven stages of the enemy's attack and how to discern them
- The authority of the believer and how to exercise it (Luke 10:19)
- How to walk according to the Spirit in order to fight effectively (2 Corinthians 2:11)
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you." — Luke 10:19
Who is this course for?
For every believer who wants to stop being ignorant of the adversary's devices, "lest he should take advantage of us," and walk in the authority Christ has already obtained. This authority is given to every child of God, not only to deliverance ministers.
